poncirsguy, your FD does not look like it is 2.5 yrs old, it looks much older. I have a 35 year old FD and it's trunk diameter is 2". How large is your FD trunk diameter? Maybe the photo makes it look larger than it is.The FD was 2.5 years old at grafting and the tree was grafted 2 years ago so the FD is now 4.5 years old. The tree was grown under ideal conditions and grew much faster than normal.
