Seeds are coated with a pleasant tasting translucent gel which desolves in mouth when ripe. I would wait for the fruit color to turn deep red for ripeness. Birds will tell you, they usually nibble on a cluster to indicate ripeness. Once germinated, seed grows quickly and fruit in about 3-4 years. Produces really beautiful flowers.

This Achacha is huge, two years to fruit I hope once I put it in ground and
The Pitomba is another two years. Going to be Happy Happy soon.
Thanks for the soil recipe, got some seedlings that need a pick up. I was missing the hollytone
And vermiculite.
