you made me hop out of my desk chair and go check mine. Looks like 5 or 6 varieties of female trees will make it but not the male. Very happy and thanks for all those doling out advice
I’ve got about 15 or so males, don’t see any buds yet but definitely still alive, if any live I can help share scions

So I contacted a Chinese yangmei researcher about the rapid die off that many of us experience with our seedlings. I described the symptoms and included several pictures. Here is her response:
Dear Ron,
Good morning!
Letter received! Myrica rubra likes acid yellow soil. If the soil is too fertile, for example, the nitrogen and phosphorus content is high, it is easy to die. The main symptom of your bayberry death is that the nutrient matrix is not suitable.
Nice. Big bonus is whoever wins doesn't have to revive it at all.
HUGE bonus. I lost over 20 trees from one of the previous group buys. Guess what I have to show for all that money and time? 2 male trees.
Bump for tonight. Will be doing a Q&A after the presentation. Can you make this like one of those Fathom Events? Instead of showing Opera at the movie theaters, we could stream your event?
JK, I hate my state
Not familiar with Fathom.
Anytime I do a paid talk for a group or club I leave it up to them as far as sharing the content. Since they obviously want to incentivize people to join/attend their meetings.
But the stuff I do with Fruitful Trees and Paul Nison gets posted on YouTube. We’ll probably do at least one Q&A stream about mangos before the season and I’ll try to remember post about it beforehand on here.
Folks,
The order has been sent to the exporter with the number of 800 trees.
This is probably the last order of Yangmei trees I do for the community. We are aiming to get our trees in mid-January, 2023.
Thank you all for the support and happy new year!
Bill
