would you ship any of these 1 gal grafted trees?

I'm looking into shipping, still not sure on that one. Busy AF with work stuff now, so haven't had time to play with figuring out how to safely ship these things.

The one tree I bought off ebay the guy shook some excess dirt off the rootball, then wrapped it in saran wrap to keep it from drying out then aluminum foil to protect the saran wrap.
And just filled the rest of the box with crumpled newspaper to protect the limbs.  Worked out pretty well.

Cherimoya and Atemoya are certainly doable in 8b,  you just have to be prepared to lend them a hand on nights when it gets below 28F

The sweet "grapefruits"  like Cocktail and Melogold go great with some vodka and topo chico.

Supposedly Republic of Texas Orange is one of the hardiest if not THE hardiest true oranges.

So I have the itch to plant me some high quality Zaiger interspecific hybrids.
My problem is I only have room for two trees and the want for potentially non compatible varieties.

Specifically I would like a Spicezee Nectaplum and a Pluerry or Peacotum (which doesn't seem to be available this year)

The issue seems to arise from the Pluerry , Peacotum and most pluots need to be pollenized by another plum/pluot or Pluerry.

Does anyone know if the Spicezee would be OK as a pollenator?  Or have any suggestions about solving this game of musical pollenators?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Choice for White Sapote Cultivar

Most California nurseries stock the suebelle which is dwarf. It's yellow skinned so not the sweetest. I hear about cultivars like Malibu #3, Golden Globe, Selk, Clytia, North Park, McDill, etc.

Fairhaven is the best I tasted. high brix 30 plus but not nauseatingly sweet very custardy creamy eat entire fruit,  flesh and all, not bitter....pretty close to cherimoya

What is the seed to flesh ratio  and fruit size like?

Will you plant it in the ground?

I am on the fence about that. I have heard in ground they can get quite large without diligent pruning.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Choice for White Sapote Cultivar

I am looking at ordering a White Sapote from PIN and they have 4 varieties available:
Homestead, Redland, Smathers, and Younghan.

I was wondering what the major differences between these would be?
Reading through threads on here I saw some opinions that redlands can be pretty hit or miss depending on the seedling rootstock but otherwise not many specifics.

Wait.

So Arka Sarhan  and Dream Atemoya are one and the same?

Cold Hardy Citrus / Re: Cold Hardry Grapefuit/Pommelos

At least I bought it from Bernhardt Voss under this name.
He propagated Bloomsweet seedling budwood grafted on poncirus and it seems that the first flowering happened in  my garden. Other than shape it fits the description of Kinkoji/Bloomsweet.

To me it looks more like a Cocktail grapefruit because of the shape , orange flesh and yellow to green coloring.  But then again cocktails are known for their seediness and your photo shows a seedless fruit.

Hopefully they don't make it illegal to graft citrus like some states did.

That is soon going to be against the law in texas.

My Bloomsweet is doing beautifully till now. On PTFD, north exposure, it is dealing beautifully with cold snaps we had till now (Temps ranging from 30 to 24F). It is the biggest
My main concern is, if it remains so vigorous probably the place where i though it could be planted will be too small. I hoped to have a plant no taller than 2,5/3mt (8-10ft max).
Pancrazio,
The mother plant of your graft is now almost 4 meters high, but columnar in shape.

Last week harvest:

Very good taste, completely ripe, sweet with some pleasant acidity, practically no bitterness, for me it is better than most of conventional grapefruits

Are you sure that is a bloomsweet tree?  Every picture of fruit I have seen are  "teardrop" shaped with a neck almost similar to a minneola tangelo but your fruit appear to be almost uniformly spherical.
