So I updated the lists with the total amount of seeds. You can view it here to see that I am being fair. People with the most species is who gets on.
1. Elouicious - 12 total species
2. Shmojojojo - 8 total species
3. Man v fruit - 8 total species
4. ShilohTech -  7 total species
5. Nissan Versa - 6 total species
6. Brian Laufer - 6 total species
5. Saltwater Tx - 6 total species
6. Paraponera - 6 total species
7. Jaboticaba 45 - ? total species

As you can see, there are still too many people, so I had to eliminate 2 people who had 6 species total
I have to be unbiased, so I decided that whoever messaged me first will get to stay on. That being said, Paraponera and Saltwater Tx are on the order while Brain and Nissan got eliminated. I made sure to check my pms to see who messaged me first. No bias. I wish I could include everyone, but with finals coming up, that is not possible. Even then, I am adding 1 extra person (7vs.6).I am sure people can form their own side groups as shmojojojo mentioned, so all is not lost if you want to do your own order.

For those on the order, I will let seller know tomorrow what we will buy. Expect a pm discussing payment in a few days.
Have a great rest of the weekend,

Edit: Originally was going to have 6 total people, but it changed to 7 - I decided to have a last chance qualifier to decide which of the people order 6 seeds could get on as I felt like they all had equal chance of getting on order. Person who made it was saltwaterTx. As he was the 2nd one to pm me about the order.

Iíve decided to cut back on this order. Capping it at 6 people total including me. To decide who makes the cut, the individuals ordering the most seeds will make the cut. Hereís why I have cut back - to reduce middle men, keep the order easier to organizeÖWill send out a pm to people and will update who is on the lists. I originally wanted to cap at 10 but look at the list we have around 20. By capping at 6, it allows me to ship out to you people and not rely on others, also it is easier. Adding anymore people to the order just makes it too hard to keep track of and the discounts are outweighed by the time. The deadline for changing your order is done, to keep things fair I will not let anyone change their order to get on the order. I feel bad and want to not be biased. I feel like this is fair for everyone. Once again, I apologize for this update, and also apologize for your guys time. At least we didnít start the payment stage then change. I hope you guys understand why I am doing this.

I updated the lists. Please view before I send to seller to calculate total cost. PLEASE VIEW THE ORDER BEFORE I GO TO SELLER ONCE I GO TO SELLER AND THE ORDER IS DONE< NO CHANGING SEEDS
This order is way bigger than I thought. Ideally I would like it to be 4-5 people, but hey once you start something....
Anyways, if the fees we need to pay is outrageously high due to lots of seeds and lots of different species of seeds being ordered, I might call the order off. I feel like it is best to do 4-5 people. After seeing the list, looks like we are getting over 40 species :blank: . Anyways, I'll get back to you guys to discuss payment strategies. Also, to make the order easier, I am having 1 person in charge of shipping the packages out from places. For example, there are several people in the order in CA, TX, and FL. I have already got 1 person in CA who will get the seeds from me then distribute to the people in CA. If you live in TX or FL and want to help out and make my life easier, Please pm me. This already is starting to feel crazy and I haven't even done finals yet ::) ::) ::) ::) . Wish you all a good weekend,

Order is closed for new people. If you have sent me a pm before now, you can be on the list, I will need your order by the 27th.
Here is the google doc with whats happening:

The list also lists how much you need to pay for the seeds, it does not include the shipping and other fees, so payment will not begin until calculated by seller in a couple of days

I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew, I will need everyone's cooperation to make this a success. Please stay tuned for payment info in the next week.

Please go over your order and make sure you are ok with what you are going to pay. I do not want anyone to back out cause of price after I get quote from seller.

I'm capping the order at 10 people, Seeds being bought are a lot so...First come, first serve, You are allowed to join after 10 if I had told you previously you could join. I'm going to get everything sorted out tonight....

Iím going to update the list of people. Keep in mind that the order is first come first serve. I will also update with ESTIMATED total prices so you can plan on what you will need to pay. You can view the list via the Google docs in the first part of this thread. I plan for only 15 people. If I have more than 15 people interested, whoever sent the pm first will get in the order. Also amount of seeds purchased will determine also.

Pictures are here

jaboticaba tigrada

plinia coronata acu de bahia

eugenia dysenterica

Let me know if you want a certain fruit picture. It is too hard to upload them all.

Updated thread please read. Pictures will be posted shortly, and you all who are interested will need to pm me what you are buying before nov.27.

Do you have any description for the many varieties offered, such as fruit to seed ratio, Brix/sweetness, fruit size, and precociousness?
I don't have any descriptions of the varieties offered, google is going to be your best friend. Here is a link to the seller's original thread with some pictures/ descriptions:

Hi Jaboticaba45,
I have a permit also.  It is super easy to get the stuff to your seller.
Someone with a current permit (me or Elouicious for example, or you, if you get one. Permits are good for several years.) just scans in the next mailing label in their possession.
Then email the pdf or jpeg of the label to the exporter.  Tell them to print it IN COLOR. I usually tell them to print it larger than real size because the printing is so small on them.  Each label can only be used once. They are individually numbered.

They attach it to the outside of the package.
They ALSO need to provide a seed list, such as the one attached here.  The list must contain certain things (permit #, etc).  I usually send them a list with my name, #, etc.  Then they list the seeds, who collected them and where.

The package gets shipped to the USDA center on the permit label.  They go through it then send it on.  My port is Seattle, because it is close to me, the folks there are really nice, AND it is not ridiculously busy like the Florida ports.

Anyway, if you need help, just holler.  I do this all the time when I travel.  I mail dozens of packages home from trips.

Also, IF the phyto is costing you money, you can send this way WITHOUT a phyto. Cheap, easy.

Thanks for the information Carolyn! That is very helpful. Unfortunately I think we will still need a phytosanitary as it will not be able to leave Brazil due to their strict customs. I'll ask you for help if need be.

Are you getting a permit coming into the US? Is the phytosanitary something required coming from brazil?
Seller ships with phytosanitary, not sure if it is required. I assume that there is no reason for a small lots of seed permit if there is a phyto. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
You still need a permit even with Phyto-

I have one and may be able to assist with this part
Thanks for the heads up. Order will not be placed until I can secure a permit. Let me know of what you have in mind.

Hello everyone,
I am planning a group order from Andre to order some new seeds. I didn't expect so many people to be interested, so I am making this thread to keep things organized.

Here is the google doc I made with all the seed prices and availibility.
Minimum order of 10 seeds per species - If you want less than 10 seeds, you will need to share with someone else.
Here is how the order is going to go -
-People interested in buying choose their seeds.
-Once deadline happens, I tell seller what we are buying and how many
-seller to determine how much it will be (phytosanitary and shipping and other fees)
-The shipping and phytosanitary cert. cost and fees will be distributed evenly between people buying seeds.
-Costs will be calculated and I will let you know how much you need to pay (seeds you are buying + your share of fees)
-You will pay me, then I will pay seller
-Seeds are shipped
-I receive seeds in US and ship to you.

This is for USA only. (No international buyers)

The advantages of doing a group order is that we all save on shipping and phytosanitary cert. costs as these can be pretty high.
Also the order allows people to buy fewer amounts of seeds while still getting a good deal on shipping etc.

Please post or pm me what seeds you are interested in buying and I'll add you to the google sheets.

Questions, Comments, and other remarks are welcomed below :) .

. The list caps out at 10, after that you will need to communicate with others...Want to share seeds? Try contacting someone on that list. I do not have the time to ship more than 15 packages to different people. If you live near someone on the list, consider adding orders together or getting them to ship to you.

Update 11/25/21:
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! There is a lot to be thankful for! One thing I am thankful for is that BellamyTrees has agreed to let us piggyback on his order. He has already got the permit and shipping taken care of. All we need to do is let the seller know what we want to add to the order, and pay a small fee for the increases in shipping/other fees. This fee I expect will not be over 20-25 dollars per person and that includes the money for me to ship the seeds to you (BellamyTrees will forward the seeds to me). This means that we need to hurry and find out what everyone wants to get. I am going to let the seller know what we are buying on november 27. This also means that serious buyers only and by putting yourself on the list, you are agreeing to pay. I know that many people are busy as it is thanksgiving, but we need to be fast and not hold up the order. I am not going to accept late orders as I will still need to send out payment details to you all...
Once again, thank you BellamyTrees for your kindness.

Also the seller has sent me a LOT of pictures. I'll upload them tomorrow so everyone can decide.
Once again, if you have not sent me a pm with what you are buying by november 27, you are NOT on the order and will be left off. Sorry for the short notice...but if we take more time deciding, the seeds could go bad, and I still need to collect payment for the seeds also.

List caps of at 10. Please realize that it is first come first serve, unless I have talked with you before, you are not on after 10 people.
Will update list later tonight. Right now there are 8 people confirmed, (1 person is representing a group of others)

Update 11/25/21

Order is finished...This means that I am accepting no new people to the list. People who have already pmd me can change their order.
If you have sent me a pm, you will be added to the list. I will update the list. I need everyone's order by the 27th.

Please read last couple of posts on this thread - I need everyone's cooperation. Thanks for understanding and have a happy turkey day!

Update 11/26/21:
Order is closing I need everyone to review what you are buying before I let seller know. It's getting crazy, so I need all of you peoples cooperation. I'll get back to you if the order is good once seller responds after I send list and will calculate payments. Then we collect payment (Everyone can cooperate please?) Anyway, have a great weekend.

Please read newest post.

Does anyone want to do a group order with me so we can save on shipping + phytosanitary costs? I have talked with the seller and everything looks to be good. Please send pm if interested.

Larger trees are chempedak jackfruit hybrids

Kwai muk and 2 elasticus

For sale I have 2 chempedak jackfruit hybrids, 1 chempedak, 1 kwai muk, 2 a.elasticus. They look kinda junky but will be fine once in a warmer climate. I am mostly done with growing artocarpus; it is a pain to take care of these. Can do $60 for them all.

Congrats on the fruit! I was able to get some fruit from PR last year. It truly is a great fruit, but it wouldn't be on my top 5 (I think that caimitos taste better). Nonetheless, I am growing it in my greenhouse. I have tried to graft onto it, but have failed. If any of you out in FL would be willing to spare some scions next spring, please let me know. It is a shame that there are very few varieties of named abiu in the US, and even then, they are still hard to find.

Citrus General Discussion / Re: Cold Hardiness of Owari Satsuma???

Thanks for the help everyone. I kept it alive last winter in a makeshift greenhouse heated with only a candle during the coldest nights. I was hoping I could just plant in ground and leave alone, but this seems to not be the case.

« on: November 07, 2021, 08:47:51 PM »
I was reading online and heard that owari is can withstand temperatures down to 12f. It rarely goes below 15 here. Does anyone have any experience growing satsumas in a similar climate with no protection? If it is doable, then I will plant my tree in ground next spring.

Hello all,
I have a couple of trees that can be grafted. Looking for a good tasting avocado that will fruit on its own. Let me know what varieties you have. Thanks!

Finally after 4-5 years my pineapple is fruiting! I donít know the variety itís just the ones from the store. I had forgot to fertilize it but after giving some last summer it finally decided to flower. I do think these can fruit in 2-3 years in a temperate climate with the proper care.

While you're in the area, you should hit the Fruit and Spice park. Not sure what fruit is in season at this time of year. Also, I highly recommend Trees N More nursery. Stopped by last July and had a blast. Mike has quality trees and great prices. Also the forum is your friend. Ask around if you can visit other people. It's nice to chat with other fruit growers and see what they are growing. They might have trees, fruit, or scions you can buy. If you look at my profile picture, you can see all the fruit I was able to obtain thanks to a lot of people here.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Starfruit- Anyone Growing It ?
« on: October 27, 2021, 10:55:40 PM »
I read the issues with excess oxalate, not good. Maybe I will skip growing this fruit tree. Back to more loquats instead.
All I gotta say is that loquats tasted 100x better than all the starfruits I have ever tried, even ones fresh off the tree from FL. I heard that most of the oxalic acid goes away when fully ripe and once the wings are cut off, there is very little left.
