Hi Chris,
The larger Giant sized Reds were the first to go.
I had around 15-20...  and they sold out in a couple of days.
So fast I had to take the photo down from the ad.
Whew!!! Amazing!
I still have quite a few in the 10-12 inch range-$30.

And I still have plenty of nice Sabaras in the 10 -12 inch range - also $30.
If you are still interested let me know.
Thanks for your interest Chris!

It's delicious work.
I would be eating the fruit and spiting out seeds like a machine!
I envy you.

Thank you Kaz for making these seeds available.
I am certain is was a considerable task!

I have not tested the Nelitas hardiness. They stay in the greenhouse come cold weather.
Same with the Garnets.
My Nelita Mother plants are in containers and without any pruning stay more bush like.

Garnets on the other hand I cut back occasionally.
Either for practical reasons like height limits or scion sales.
My guess is they will  get as big as you let them.
My greenhouse is only 12 ft tall... so that is my limit.
They take to pruning very well.

I planted out a couple of hedge rows in my backyard with run-of-the-mill CORG seedlings last year and they withstood the lower 20s of last Winter just fine.

Thanks for you kind words.
They grow here in full sun... Nice HOT Alabama sun... and the pots are in very close proximity to each other... so they have to grow up instead of out.

Several years ago I was growing up a dozen or so run-of-the-mill CORG seedlings when I noticed one that visually stood out.
Most Eugenias have reddish new growth tips... but this one was really spectacular.

After a couple of year it bloomed and set fruit... developing the best tasting CORG I had ever tasted.
I started grafting pieces of it onto standard CORG rootstock with some success.
I showed it to Adam at Flying Fox Fruit and he said he believed it was Eugenia Calycina.
He said most of the specimens he had tried tasted a bit like Spinach.
Well this definitly does not taste like Spinach.
It has a juicy delicious sweet taste that reminds me of Apricots and Pineapple.

For a couple of years I was just referring to it as the "Mystery" CORG.
Finally I decided to give it a name... and I chose "Garnet".... based on the beautiful red foliage and buds.
I have many large grafted Garnet plants now with the original Mother standing around 12 ft in height.
And for anyone interested... I have around 30 grafted Garnets-on-Nelita cocktail plants in 4 inch nursery containers that will be ready to sell soon. These sold out last year, so stay tuned...
That is the story... so far.

Started eating some of these Garnets today... so GOOD!
Pineapple and Nectarine flavor.
Reminds me of those Tropical Fruit flavored Life Savers they had when I was a kid.
