I believe Felipe grafted ilama on Annona glabra rootstock aka pond apple. Also some Californian grafted it on Cherimoya.

I'm asking because the only annonas I have are Cherimoya, Sugar Apple, Annona Reticulata, and Guanabana

Here's a helpful chart that I saved from a previous post.:)

There is one that I grow that I can't seem to find graft compatibility for. It's A. purpurea (soncoya). It's the most vigorous of the 5 Annona species I have propagated.

Thanks, I have a couple of cherimoya seedlings that I could use as rootstock for an Ilama scion

I totally forgot to add this. But there was a thread that this was on that had some of the compatible rootstocks mentioned. (All based off of the grafting success stories of other members.) You'd have to search for the post. It would be a lot more effective if I had saved the thread with some supplementary info as well. :P Maybe it's best if you just specify ilama grafting success?

Thats correct cherimoya is not for florida ,secondary pathogens in our humid climate take toll on root system, but for cali very good!maybe okay rocklands in fl? not for flatwood soils

Why not use reticulata? All the mature trees I've seen seem to grow well down here and its pretty vigorous.
I have a few seedlings I plan grafting to, lets see how well they do.

I will use atemoya on atemoya
 sugar apple on sugar  apple
Try to keep it the same.No problems that way. If you have too you can use pond apple or custard apple. Like now I have no atemoya root stock ready. Just custard apple. I will be grafting custard apple next month . On custard apple
