Looks like a good market. What did you think of taste of nam nam and assam paya? I've never tried them.

Assam Paya is very sour.It grows in the wetland and usually the fruit is made into pickles.As for nam nam it taste sweet and sour with the sweetness being mild.It is a cauliflorous tree and the the fruit is eaten with soy sauce mix with chilli

Durio zibethinus.Some trees produce only small fruits while others produce bigger fruit.it doesnt seem to affect the taste though.the fruit in the picture are from unnamed cultivar which are planted from seeds

btw did you manage to find the infamous cerapu fruit?Did you show them pictures of the fruit
