Aug 7th works for me Brad. I will bring whatever I have, perhaps two avocados that were experimental when I grafted and it produces delicious Hass like or better ones.

I had a good haul today, earlier than expected on the peqches and dragonfruits.  But it looks like the 7th there should be more ready.  Its been so hot, the fruit is getting ripe quick now, its around 95 everyday.

I have a bunch of what I think is honeydew nectarines but they are starting to drop and birds are eating them like crazy. If i have any left I'll take some to see if anyone can positively identify it.

Im hoping my peaches can hold out until the 7th.  They may all be done by then.  Ive got a field of watermelons also, hoping they can hang on and not get over ripe by then...  Its really hard to time this stuff.  At least the avocados are easy to time.

I got 10lbs of kaimana lychees coming next week from hawaii for us to sample.  Im taking donations for those, they weren't cheap.

Brad, if my Brewster lychees are ripe by next week, then I can ship you a box a few days before your event. I won't be able to make it but you can try some of my lychee (even though they do have the large seeds). Let me know if you want them.

Hi All, if one is taking citrus is there a preferred way of cleaning to satisfy peoples concerns about citrus greening?

If anyone is bringing citrus here please just clean them under running water and verify theres no psyllids.  If you have greening or known psyllid infestations on your stuff, use your brain and do the right thing.

Same for covid or any other cold viruses , if you had covid or were around people that had it within the last couple weeks dont show up here.

I'll bring some P. ligularis. Maybe yellow strawberry guava. Blueberries. Surinam not looking well timed. Jabo all gone.

Anyone interested in butterfly plants? I just harvested a bunch of Aristolochia fimbriata seeds. Might have some A. watsonii by the 7th.

Citrus fruit is fine especially after washing.  Just make sure don't let leaves and twigs hanging on the fruit.

Take a vacation, Tomek.  Fly out there.  S.D. has awesome beaches (surfing at Swami's Beach, Encinintas!), the best climate/weather in the country, and authentic Mexican food.

Im saddened to inform everyone that the 10lbs of lychees from hawaii was held up by fedex and stuck in hawaii and probably will not be good when and if it ever arrives.  Apparently a lot of shipments have been ruined this summer by fedex.

The good news is the party is still on.

If anyone can grab a box of mangos at the asian market that would be awesome.

Brad, I spoke with Nate (FV Fruit Freak) about taking some Brewster lychees to your party. He said yes, so I will pick the lychees on Thurs and take 10 lbs to Nate's place on Friday so he will bring them to your party. Even though these fruits have large seeds, its still lychee. I don't spray anything on my trees, just water.
