Someone in Vietnam I think, decided to build this structure right at the big tree, but saved the tree from the ax and had the tree top protruded up the roof. It's amazing to see so many good looking fruits under the roof popped out from the larger branch which is unusual -- more like Jackfruit fruiting habit.

Does this prove that if we hard prune some big branches just before flowering time, the new shoots will send out flower stalks instead of new growth, and bear fruits?

It seems someone decided to add the roof over the area -- a previous courtyard -- and had no choice but to cut back the large branches, at the right time, and the large branches only sent out fruits instead of new growth.

So mango is not necessary only have flowers and fruits on terminal branches. We can force it to have fruits anywhere on the mature large branches.

If you don't like to share your fruits with rats and other animals, this is a good way.
I wonder what the tree looks like above the roof -- leaves with fruits or only leaves to collect sun energy and nurture the fruits below the roof. Can the owner have the same fruits arrangement every year?
