Good News...
Last week I was finally certified to ship plants to California.
After jumping through many hoops, filling out forms, paying fees, enduring inspections, laboratory soil tests, and upgrading my pest control procedures (Organic)... I now have the official Plant Protection labels to place on California shipments.
They are primarily concerned about Soil Nematodes, Japanese Beetles, Fire Ants and Glassy-Winged Sharpshooters.
I plan to start shipping to California next week!

Received a ridiculously healthy Cherry of the Rio Grande in literally a day. Will probably buy again in the future, soon!

Pitangatuba came quite a while ago, forgot to post it when it came! Shipping was very prompt, took it out when it started getting warm and humid, and it seems to like it. My Tamarillo didn’t like it as much and had to bring it back in after it lost a few leaves to wind damage… surprised at how fast it began to grow back! Can’t wait for some of my first pitangatubas! Thanks again!

Excited to get my order soon :) Can I ask if anymore is known about nelita cold hardiness? Thought these were good to low 20's like cherry of rio grande, and only saw recently they might be 28-30. Record low here is 24. For height, are yours topping out at ~12' or are you pruning to keep height manageable?

I have not tested the Nelitas hardiness. They stay in the greenhouse come cold weather.
Same with the Garnets.
My Nelita Mother plants are in containers and without any pruning stay more bush like.

Garnets on the other hand I cut back occasionally.
Either for practical reasons like height limits or scion sales.
My guess is they will  get as big as you let them.
My greenhouse is only 12 ft tall... so that is my limit.
They take to pruning very well.

I planted out a couple of hedge rows in my backyard with run-of-the-mill CORG seedlings last year and they withstood the lower 20s of last Winter just fine.

Thank you Kevin! Beautiful plants. Survived the 90+ shipping temps just fine. Red jabos surprisingly large at 18", Nelita 20", Sabara 12".

Hi Kevin, should have asked before does Nelita prefer slightly acidic soil like the jabos? Haven't been able to find much info. Thanks in advance!

That should be fine.
They aren't too finicky.
Personally... I use a compost/bark based medium for all my plants without any regard for ph and everything does fine.
No issues so far...

Nelita an calycina is not PH sensitive like jabos in my experience. They drink up my 8.3ph and don't get too chlorotic. I will occasionally throw a handful or two of sulphur pellets if I see the leaves getting skeletal looking but overall, not bad.

Thanks so much for the info. I won't worry about the soil. It'll go in a protected south wall spot. Best of all, think I found space for another jabo or maybe sweet uvaia when back in stock...

Received my Thai dwarf today. The box is bent in half but the plant survived. Thx for the extra mulberry cuttings. Great service.
