I agree, ruling out pollen induced variance, it looks quite similar to the Leo#1 that Jon Verdick is growing at his Encanto farm.

I figured this post would be a decent place to report in.

I have a few annonas from JF's collection planted in-ground and while they might not have ample space, most seem to be doing well enough.

First to fruit Birula and Calastro (I might have picked these too early, but a few were missing from the tree when i went out today)
No hand pollination this year, never got around to it.


Still waiting on RH3, Arka Sahan, La Habra Sun, Hunucma Amarillo, Cuban Red
I have Giant Atis and Hawian Pink but they are tucked in between trees and or struggle for light.

@skhan - You either mislabeled or got a mislabeled Arka Sahan. That is more of an AP. Arka Sahan is like the photo of my avatar.

As I was posting this i notice this looked really similar to the SAP.
I'll wait till in sizes up to determine. I never order a standard AP since you can find it around here.
Who do you tell the differences in SAP and AP?

Yeh, I picked most of the AP.
This was the only Calostro that was ready.

All the other annonas on the Tropic Sun, RH3 and Calostro are under a tennis ball in size.
When i had gefner trees I would pick most of the fruit in October-November, so this is a little early

I got these scions as Arka Sahan, it clearly isn't.
Looks like AP to me, but I'm open to a proper ID lol.
I started getting Tropic sun in early July so that might check out.

I know the different regions will change some of the habits, but i don't know by how much.

all these were naturally pollinated.
