African pride as rootstock for atemoya
« on: September 14, 2021, 10:31:44 PM »
Hello, looking for anyone with experience using African Pride as a rootstock for atemoya, or as a seedling tree. Were the trees healthy/ any bacterial root issues? How was the the tree vigour?
I am looking for a rootstock with less vigour than the standardly used white cherimoya (also hard to find large supply). I've heard AP has bacterial issues as a rootstock but would love to know some personal experiences, particularly growing in soils with high organic matter.
I am in northen NSW, Aus.
