Got a few of these from Forest house cameroon and it looks like they somehow survived the storm we had in TX with temps in my greenhouse briefly touching 30
Sounds like an interesting fruit that would be a great addition to salads, hopefully even though mine are in pots they will eventually produce

Dongkui: large (20-40g), dark red, excellent flavor.
Black Peak: new variety. Very large（up to 68g), black, stores better than other varieties
An Hai: new variety. Early-maturing (mid May), medium fruit size (23g), purple black. Stores well

My review of the 4
1. Sabara - good flavor, spicy thick skin, what I consider the "normal" Jaboticaba
2. Red - Super large and sweet, thin skin that still has some zest but light on the spice
3. White- a little underwhelming, the little flesh on there is quite good, skin was too spicy for me to eat
4. Grimal- By far the most complex flavor, white wine taste and good thick spicy skin

Myrtaceae. Small willow-like tree to 15-25′. Pendulous branches, simple glossy leaves, pubescent when young. White flowers and apricot size edible fruit. The flavor of the fruit is excellent when still pale yellow but becomes insipid upon turning a dark yellow/orange. Native to the Rio Plata region, Brazil. Easy to grow ornamental/edible, mature trees tolerant of mild frost. Z9b
Apparently picking the fruit at the right time is the key- insipid fruit is not likely to entertain anyones palette

From my previous post on dealing with this clown-
as one of the people whose orders was messed with and had to dispute the charge on paypal after the seller demanded a re-shipping fee, I wouldn't be so sure that you re the reason things went poorly.
I made a huge effort to meet halfway with this guy and he is one of two bad vendors I have experienced on this site. International shipping of seeds has risks and sellers on here such as jibril, maryoto, marcos, and on and on and on are able to at least communicate the risks associated with shipping out of their country and re-ship seeds if something gets grabbed.
This is not the case with Andres. Poor communication, rude, and if I hadn't gotten a full refund I would have already written a poor review for this seller and recommend others not deal with him. Unless you want to be told your $150 seed order was too small to warrant re-shipping or that he has a safe way to ship the second time after your package gets seized(conveniently never mentioned before, and twice the cost) stay away.

In my experience, he is not bypassing customs and expects you to pay more for a second round of shipping without providing any information about why the first one was seized
