Will pears graft onto anything else? Pears and Loquats are in the same family...any chance they’re compatible? I’d really like to grow pears but would like to save space and graft them onto something else, if possible?

Hi, I’m looking to acquire 4-6 Beaumont Macadamia Nut scions for next spring (2022). We can work out a price or trade, I’m open. I’d like for the scions to be girdled on the tree in January and scions picked up/shipped in March. Diameter of scions should be approx 3/8 to 5/8 inch thick and the scion wood should be mature and from the previous flush. If you can help me out please let me know. Thanks

Has anyone successfully grafted Pawpaw onto Cherimoya? Thanks

Trying to track down a few mango scions for a friend. Only need 5 or 6, looking for Sweet Tart, Lemon Zest, Coconut Cream, or any other top tier variety’s.

Has anyone in So Cal had any luck growing Garcinia Brasiliensis (superior lemon drop)?

The seedlings I purchased a few years ago continue to struggle and not grow. They’ve only put on a few inches of new growth, and this winter almost completely defoliated.

Bout to purchase a one way ticket to the compost bin for them soon...

Healthy Gros Michel Banana plant for sale in 5 gallon. $35 local pick up. Wintered over this year and is fully rooted and ready to plant. It also has two other shoots starting to come up for a perfect grouping of 3 banana plants. Shoot me a PM if interested. PayPal or cash accepted. Thanks

Hey guys I’m looking for anyone that has dragon fruit flowers opening right now. I need pollen. I have Haileys Comet flowers that are about to open any day. If anyone lives near me and has some please let me know. Thx

Large Pineapple hapas for sale, some with long roots, some without. The ones with roots have spiky leaves. Taste is super sweet with a little acid. I believe they’re Smooth Cayenne variety, however, the ones in the bottom pic do have spiky leaves, and I don’t believe smooth cayenne have spiky leaves, so I don’t know what’s up with that (maybe someone can elaborate). They have some cold damage on the leaves as they wintered over outside this year. They should produce fruit this year or next. $4 each, plus shipping.

$25 with Free shipping to anywhere in the US. Comes in 4” inch pot.

The Parfianka Pomegranate tree is naturally dwarfing, produces beautiful red fruits with small, soft, edible seeds, and is consistently rated the most flavorful pomegranate in tasting trials. Great for juicing or fresh eating, producing heavy crops at a young age. Can grow up to 10 feet, but can easily be kept at six to seven feet with pruning.

SOLD- Pura vida avocado tree grafted onto Hass rootstock for sale. $125.  Local pick up in Orange County (Fountain valley).

What planting depth are Surinam cherry's (Eugenia uniflora) happy at? Do they like to be planted deep or shallow? I was thinking deep since some of their natural habitat can be found along river banks. Thanks, Nate

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Cherimoya pollinating question
« on: April 25, 2021, 05:53:45 PM »
Do you guys pollinate the first flower set that’s happening now? or remove the flowers and wait for the second flower set in the summer? I read somewhere it’s better to wait for the tree to flush out and pollinate during the second flower bloom. This is the first time my tree has flowered and its still pretty small. Thanks for any advice. Happy Sunday. Peace.

Oh, I also read if you hang bananas from your tree, the fruit flies they attract can help pollinate the flowers.

(Still haven’t figured out the sideways picture thing and no help from moderators when asked how to fix the problem, this forum needs a dedicated tech guy)

Hi, looking for a few machete ice cream bean scions for purchase or trade. Thanks

Threw out my back today doing a soil drench, not the young buck I use to be...Getting too damn old to lug around a 5 gallon bucket through the garden anymore. Does anyone have a better solution they’d like to share for doing soil drenches that are easier on the back?
