Up to 10 Free “Lemon Gold” Scion’s with every order of 5+ scion’s.
While available over the next few weeks as I give this tree a big prune.

Order 20 + , $3 per stick

All tree’s are currently flushing so perfect time to take scion.

Current White Sapote Scion Availability :
Lemon Gold
Santa Cruz

I see. It could be harder to find larger caliper grafted tree’s in FL still.

Nice video Shiloh. Hope they all take for you.

Robert, I lament that my preferred grafting motion where I have the best control is cutting towards me. I do not feel comfortable cutting away from myself and my cuts aren’t clean.
It’s a bummer because I don’t want to teach people to cut towards themselves.
Some people I have worked with are not comfortable around knives and power tools and it feels like teaching whittling sometimes.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Denzler white sapote

I think my Denzler is self fertile but there is other Casimiroa flowers in the vicinity.
I was not aware the possibility of Casimiroa not being self fertile. Only seedlings that make small fruit or very little fruit.

I have grown from seed for 10 years and observed compared to planted out grafted finger limes. Seedlings are slower, thornier and have yet to flower. Grafted one’s do great.

Wanted good size green finger lime trees. At least 1 inch caliper trunk, non grafted preferred

Last active 6 months ago. Try him on FB. Maybe a variegated jabo could be in the cards.
Hi. Jason.
How many do you need?

I can do that. Please send me a PM to arrange.

Can I get one of each please? Thanks,

Opuntia sp: Torrance PCH#1
Large red fruit with red interior. Excellent sweet flavor with subtle watermelon taste. Soft small seeds that can be broken down by teeth. Low spreading growth habit. Fruit resistant to rotting due to moisture/humidity. Fruit holds on plant for months through the winter, while maintaining great eating qualities. Production moderate to low.

There is more threads and discussion of PCH #1 in the forum search feature.

What does PCH#1 stand for?

Interested, but not familiar with these too much.

I have “Denzler” growing and fruiting well. I wonder which one of us has the typo. I haven’t seen anyone else growing it yet.

Planted a Denzel white sapote a few months which seems to be growing quickly.  It was the only variety of white sapote I could find in stock in Palm Beach County.  Picked it up from Jack and the Beanstalk Nursery in West Palm.

“Smathers” is Casimiroa Tetrameria “Wooly” , not Casimiroa Edulis.

The Fruit and Spice has a Smathers that I thought was pretty fkn good. And it was a nice size too.

That was fast!
Your welcome Rob.
Shipping the fatties since 19 how long…

Getting low in PCH #1 pads to sell this year.

I think my friend told me he collected Osage seed at Francheschi in the last month or so…..?
I haven't been able to find osage orange anywhere at CA nurseries. If someone has a line on some, let me know. I see some bare rooted grafted norris for $30 so I may do that, we'll see.

I have these last 2 available. Pictured next to 1 gallon paint can for size reference. $20 for both , plus usps shipping. These weigh a few pounds .

Yes. Really good on it’s own or blended with other juices.

They will split, fall off , change color and get soft.
The largest fruits are about tennis ball size but longer.
What are the jars in the 1st post? Juice?

Also, how do you know fruit are ripe?

I have a plant that is flowering and fruiting, some random optunia that I snatched a pad of from my wife's abuela's house.

Good to hear. I hope these fruit quickly in the next year or so for you.
Mine came in a few days ago. Nice huge pads

Definitely they can be too thin and harder to root.
I think the thicket cutting’s will grow bigger quickly and your more guaranteed to get a take
Does the thickness affect rooting probability?

I have all listed available

do you have any pads right now?

Babaco is a seedless mountain papaya that is seedless and only propagates from cutting’s.
I have some 2” plus thick pieces for $10 a piece plus shipping.
I have a 4 pack of 1/2” thick cuttings for $20 plus shipping.
Roots pretty easily in well draining medium.
Send a PM. Thanks

Not at this time. I will a little later in the year.
My tree’s are growing good right now, could be a good time to graft in warmer climates.
Most all varieties available.

Do you have any trees available to ship?

Thanks for the positive feedback.
I’m glad they found a good home.

Received an amazing box of pads last week!

Cant recommend enough

Cheers Bush2Beach

How many tree’s will be packed and shipped , shipped bare root? and how many driven to LA?
By having the tree’s sit at USDA for 3 days is a red flag concern that all logistics have not been fully planned or considered. There may be more planning and prep going on behind the scenes than is discussed on this thread, alot has to come together in a short amount of time upon arrival.
The plants should be picked up the day they arrive or following day at the latest.
If 25% of the order has to be shipped that’s 100+ tree’s to pack and ship on day 4 of bare root in the US and however many days to the destination, so likely 7 days bare root in the US alone not counting the bare root days in transit from China. Post arrival is all about timing and coordination and all hands on deck for this high dollar bare root operation.

True , but he’s not shipping these so….

3 gal plants are very shippable.  Many online nurseries ship them.  Should not cost more than $30-something.
