Dude! I ordered 2 boxes from Alex sent to my Indiana peeps, and they were fruit tripping at the flavors and quality! Loved them  ;D

A lot of my early mangos were bland, but the last week and a half they have been great!

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Cocktail tree with sweet tart
« on: May 21, 2018, 08:07:45 AM »
I have sweet tart on part of my Chocanon tree. I'm thinking of adding another great variety. Any top tier suggestions as to what would have a similar growth pattern? Thanks

I throw mine under the banana trees

I just trapped all the squirrels in my yard along with an opossum and a raccoon. It didn't take long. They are all happily living in a spot not to near my house! Non retuned so far... I think I'll do this every year before the harvest

Werner makes a 10 foot fiberglass tripod ladder that can be delivered for free to your local home depot. $233 has anyone tried it? I want one too!

I used it on my bananas. They liked it! Had to wash it a and let it ferment in a black garbage bag for a few weeks. A lot of work I thought

My Dot was a flavor bomb this year! It was very early and did not get a lot of rain. People at work were like wow, I've never tasted a mango like that, let me know if you have extra :-D  Not a huge crop, but off the chain. Florigon only had about 20 for the first fruiting after grafting. It was my wife's favorite mango. choc-anon only held a few and we're OK. Keitt still fruiting and awesome big delicious fruit, hope the squirrels don't destroy them! Got a bout 35 on a small tree.

It is a seedling of whatever variety the "discarded pit" was....not much more to say on yhe subject.
Thought maybe some one had seen a variety that looks similar. Very red when flushed, unlike my other trees...

This tree was a volunteer that sprung up from a discarded pit. Any idea what kind it is? Thanks in advance!  It has very unusual very red leaves when it flushes.

Should I cut off some of the panicles, to make it bloom again to stretch out the harvest?

Did you spray onto the soft, new foliage?  If so, what time of day?

How big/old is the tree?  How often and how do you water?

Guilty of spraying it on new foliage!  Tree is 8 yrs/ 12'  X 5" diameter trunk. Sprayed at night. Water thoroughly once a week, along with sprinkling about 3x week.

My Dot's new leaves are curling  :-[ maybe I over did the fertilizer? I put some palm fert that I had left over along with a couple handfuls of calcium. To top it off i sprayed with some nutrient spray. Maybe I over did it???
