How fast after cutting did you spray paint ,was it very hot and sunny I feel the burn happens very fast, its all most seems like as soon as you cut one tree that you should paint it then move on to the next tree. I had this same problem.I have used both those products but not for stumped trees surround= kaolin clay and pureshade=calcium cabonate .I don't feel they last long enough maybe mix heavy nufilm17?
Hi Carlos,There's a guy in California that has a YouTube channel under the name of IV Organic. He sells a 3-in-1 tree guard product to protect fruit trees from sunburn, insects, and is a pruning sealer. Check out the following YouTube video. https://youtu.be/B-QLNCIFo5o
Latex paint alone does very little for me. I have been planning to do several test:The 3-1 product.Latex paint with Kaolin (Surround)LAtex Paint with Ceramic Paint Additive several products out there
Debating if I should make that investment for the IV organics vs the white latex paint...iv organics is pricey.
I use Surround, 40# bag. Cheap from Crop Protection Services. Several apps also works well against hard to control pests like stinkbugs or flat footed bugs.
I will have to try on my pomegranates for the stink/leaf-footed bugs.
