Results will be interesting to see since I am growing only five mango cultivars and only
one of those mangoes of mine appears on this poll list and that's 'Nam Doc Mai #4' and
anyway, my five mangoes are all too small to have given me any ripe fruit yet.

And for the record my choices were made for dwarf and semi-dwarf cultivars due to
space limitation in my yard.

Poll awaaaay y'all......

Cheers!

This year my favorite mangos were Ice Cream, Pickering, Carrie, Julie and Florigon.
None of those are on your list? To be fair allot of the early mangos were not peak flavor.
I only had 2 sweet tarts which is usually my favorite but they were picked early and
just OK. You have to include Carrie don't you?

Ice cream has been one of my favorites this season. Carrie has had an early and long season so the three most enjoyable mangoes I've had so far would be LZ ice cream and apricot. But I have an orange sherbet on the counter so that could change🙂

For sweetness - Lemon Zest

For Complexity and Alphonso Class - Carrie

Classic - Cotton Candy and Fruit Punch

Coconut Class - M4 and Pina Colada

Balanced Classic - Maha Chanok

Just the highlights I tried this year from Florida.

If it is just taste then (disregarding tree- size, health, resistance, productivity and  fruit- appearance, size etc). And if i had only 3 to choose from-

White Pirie
Lemon Zest
Pina Colada

Missing M-4, Cac and Pickering for sure.
Lemon Zest tastes great, but is extremely susceptible to MBBS. I got rid of mine for that reason alone.

Having a poll for taste only is difficult because I find that most of the best tasting are the poorest producers. Cultivars like Bombay, LZ, Edward and Peach cobbler to name a few. Not to mention tree size... Most people will want mangoes to produce a decent amount every year. Unless you have unlimited space, I don't think the best tasting mangoes should be the greatest concern. Taste and productivity both should be the most important IMO. With that said, my top 3 would be Sweet tart, Venus and Orange sherbet with Angie, Pickering and Cotton Candy all a close 4th.

Yes, Ice Cream and White Pirie should be there from what I've been told.  So far Lemon Zest, SweetTart, and Sugarloaf lead.

Makes sense.  Have you tasted Sugarloaf yet?  I don't see it on your tree list.

It makes no sense for me to make selections on this poll since I've never tasted any of those selections.  (And I'll bet that I'm likely not the only one.)

Just FWIW . . . .

All polls are tricky regarding validity.

There is a wide degree of variability in availability of the listed mangoes, so most will have never tried all mangoes, and many will have only been sampled by a small percentage of respondents. The only way to truly Fruit Fight is in a fruit-to-fruit face off taste test.

Doing another Sweet Tart Ceci Love battle. Will let OS jump in there too. Whatever happens, I win.
