Citradia, please describe the protection you provide or show pics.

I already planted in ground a Flying Dragon and some sort of trifoliate citrus but am looking for something at least close to edible to plant. So, anybody growing citrus in ground in zone 5b/6a If so, what are you growing?

Do not rely on the information you get from the water supplier. I recently lived in a town that got its water from a number of wells. My town (supplier) provided the pH information once a year. I learned that at any given time, some wells were used but not others. Every time they switched wells, and also depending on the season, the pH of the water would change. So, I checked the pH of my water every month or so and found that it varied significantly.  I used a cheap pH test kit for aquaria and pH strips used in the laboratory. Could such deficiencies actually be due to problem with the roots, e.g., root rot?

Brian, I agree with you that the title is msileading.

I have had really bad luck with their trees.I will no longer buy them.

Is fungal growth a problem with mist cloners?

I had a Palestinian sweet lime and discarded it because of its insipid, tasteless flavor. Tasted like sweetened water with a very slight hint of lime.

Can cat litter be a good subsitute for Hydroton?

Citrus juice is quite acidic and acid inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi. This is one reason why vinegar is used for pickling vegetables.

Is now OK to graft? I understand that one should graft citrus in the spring. Or do you have a greenhouse?
