I kept my "large" purple mangosteen in shade all summer but I'm thinking I will put it near a window that gets intense morning sun when I bring it in for the winter. I'm gathering this won't burn it but was curious for extra feedback...

Can anyone reccommend indoor grow lights for citrus or a setup that will enable me to hang a light over the trees? I was thinking of using T-5s but I'm not looking to have an enourmous electric bill...

Is it just me or are annonas prone to branch breaking? Lost half my Illama tree today because a limb broke and tore wll into one of the main trunks. I notice that all my Annonas have had broken branches this year..

Citrus General Discussion / Keeping Kumquats?

The weather is changing so soon my trees are coming in but space is limited and I'm debating keeping kumquats... Here are two varities I have...

1.) Meiwa-Producing fruit now, perfect compact tree, but never tried the fruit. Heard its good but was curious if its worth the effort to grow indoors..

2.) Centennial Variegated-Beautiful looking but based on my reading some say its great others says its just a Nagami (which I dislike).

A few weeks ago I received two large beautiful purple mangosteens. One is doing great and the other is looking grim. The stems are withering. I cut back new growth after transplanting. Some roots were lost during transplant but nothing I would consider major. Any suggestions to save the tree?

Temperate Fruit Discussion / Hale haven peach? Indian Blood Cling?

I purchased an Indian Blood cling by mistake thinking it was Indian free white. Is the Indian Blood cling worth growing ( I only like fresh eating peaches, not interested in canning)?

I also was offered a Hale haven. Based on my reading it sounds like an excellent peach? More feedback appreciated.

My soursop tree is infected with a fungus that has caused it to defoliate and all remaining leaves are infected.It also had scale that I eradicated. My question is how can I treat this fungus and with what?
