Can these be identified by pictures?

HI everyone.

     If anyone has seen my posts, I have started some kumquat seedlings from seeds I obtained from kumquats I got at the grocery store.    Last time I went, they did not have any, but today they did, so I bought some more.   I have mentioned all the details I could remember from the label, so this time took a picture of the label and the fruit.

     As I have said, I suspect they are Nagami, but that is a W.A.G., as I have never seen "named" varieties before and only have descriptions and photos to look at.   

     So, what are your opinions?   Is this enough detail to try to figure out which variety of kumquats these are?    If it makes any difference, it is an 8 ounce container and there were 26 kumquats in it, and you can see how they compare in size to a U.S. quarter.

I've had this brand before. Sometimes the box will say "Product of California" or "Product of Chile" the kumquats are nagami. Sometimes on the smaller side. I suspect the imported ones are gassed because although they are orange and appear ripe, they are bitter and taste soapy. I have 3 seedlings from those fruit and they appear the same as my mature potted nagami.

Yes, it's a Nagami kumquat. I have it and also the Meiwa which is better because it has sweet skin and flesh.

Thanks for the replies, Vnomonee and sc4001992(phenomenal car, by the way).    I suspected but needed some confirmation. 

   Vnomonee, how big and how old are your seedlings?   Are you doing any special care of them?  What are you fertilizing them with and how often are you doing so?

    I like what you had to say about the taste.   I have absolutely nothing to compare it against as these are the only ones I have ever tasted, but that lets me look forward to eating fresh ones some day.  Thanks for that!   I will take it as encouragement.

Yes those are definitely Nagami. 

If you like Creamsicles, try cut up kumquats with vanilla ice cream.  It has become my favorite dessert.

Brian, that sounds like an awesome way to eat kumquats...   I will have to go buy more, now!  Darn it.

Lazarus, yes I liked the SC400, so much that I had two of them since they were neat to drive (Black and Gold), wife thought I was nuts to have two of the same cars at the same time in our driveway. I got rid of both (scrapped) as they both reached over 300,000 miles. Now just one 69 corvette project car in the garage to work on.

SC4001992:  That's awesome!  And Great, too that each one was enjoyed for over 300,000 miles!     A 69 'Vette project sounds like a keeper, too.  I sold my last "toy" car in 1990, the year after I got out of the military.  Young, broke, married...... I sure some will identify with that.    It was a 1969 Charger with a 383 Magnum in it.   Kicking out almost 400 HP.  It was a joy and a nightmare to own, specifically because I was young and had no money, living in a place I had no family or really even friends with a garage and tools....      They are now, forever beyond my reach, cost wise.   Most people can't understand the concept when I tell them it got 10-12 mpg driving it NICELY, and when I put my foot down, it was a lot less than that!

Good luck with your Vette.    I hope it becomes everything you want it to be!   I am "looking" (slowly, and unbeknownst to my loving wife) for a project car, but over here in Ohio, the salted roads rust many of them away.   I don't want fast or fancy, just something that can be relatively eye catching if done well.    Maybe an older pickup truck?  Something I can wrench on myself, hopefully something pre-computer like my Charger was.    That was SO easy to work on!

Yup, I like old school cars, even though I'm a retired electrical design engineer, I do not like computers in my cars.
