Lime on mango for the win
« on: August 16, 2017, 08:14:17 PM »
Not sure why I never tried this before, and I'm sure it's been done but... wow, squeezing fresh lime juice on mango is downright great!  :D

I've done this with papaya before but I tried this on a NDM and a Carrie and the flavor combo became nicely complex.

That is all...carry on. ;D

I used to do this with store bought fruit before I got into growing. I like it even more when I squeeze lime and add cayenne pepper. My face would be on fire. Ceylon cinnamon is really good to. I should try this with some primo cultivars. YUM!

Good to know. My lime tree is the only citrus that served the various diseases.

Also, in case you haven't tried it, mixing a sliced banana with a chopped mango is pretty darn good.

Seeded watermelons are superior and this gets re-confirmed for me all the time because sometimes seedless watermelon is all that is available. Try squeezing lime juice on a seeded watermelon slice along with a pinch of sea salt. Lemon will not work you need lime juice.

Salt brings out the flavor of all foods. People who run restaurants know this very well. You can try a pinch on mango slices too.
