The season for Mamey Sapote just finished here in Belize but next year I can get pretty much any amount you would like.

Very interested to trade with you.  Sent you a PM!

These look really interesting.  I am finding conflicting information on this fruit with some sources saying it is highly toxic.  Is this a special selection or just the wild collected variety?

If anyone has seeds of these mangoes i also would be interested to buy a few!  Need them in Houston, TX.

However, I am curious to know what others are using also and maybe find something better.

Glad to see these become available.  I have already managed to get seeds for two varieties of this so don't need at the moment.  Thanks so much for the reply to my post tho.

I am interested in Polyembryonic or true to type from seed mango seeds.  Can you send me the list of seeds you have that are polyembryonic?
Here is a list also:

Rarepalmseeds has them in stock.  Not sure when they'll ship tho I've been waiting awhile myself.

Citrus General Discussion / Re: how to prune

Thanks Millet and Oolie for the pointers.  I like the idea of no pruning at all on a young tree and will let it do its thing.

BUMP - still looking if anyone has seeds.

My tree here in Belize just finished fruiting in February and is already getting ready to flower again.  I get about 3 crops per year.
Currently the postal service is closed down here due to Covid19 but I'd be happy to trade you some seeds when the next crop is ripe and the postal service running again.

Really cool.  I was lucky enough to get a few the other day.  The look very similar, wonder if it's the same species.

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / WTB: star apple varieties
« on: April 10, 2020, 03:38:18 PM »
I am looking for seeds for superior star apple varieties and similar fruit:
Alva, DPI Gold, Juicy pearl, z4 abiu

I am also open for recommendations on any other superior varieties.
All I have growing at the moment is a large green type, common purple type and then a type that is slightly purple tinged at the top and the rest is greeen.

is this araca una Psidium eugeniaefolia or is it Psidium myrtoides?   Is there a difference between the two?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / paradise nuts
« on: February 22, 2020, 12:48:36 PM »
Yesterday I was lucky enough to find a mature paradise nut pod with 27 seeds in it.  I believe it is Lecythis zabucajo but not sure.  I have been trying to get seeds for this for quite some time.
Does anyone have experience germinating these nuts?  Can I just plant directly or do they need to dry a little or be scarified?

Welcome to TFF!
Thats a big orchard you have there .
What tropical nut trees do you have? From Juglandaceae?
I also grow nut trees and was hoping to go on with northern pecans and walnuts but after i lost all the pecans i switched to almond trees.

I grow tropical nuts, the only tropical Juglandaceae I am familiar with is the Andean walnut which I do grow but not for eating, but for botanical reasons since the fruit is rather dismal. Sounds like you are in a very cold climate compared to Hawaii. A lot of delicious nuts that we are unable to grow will do well in your climate, Tropical nuts in Romania sounds challenging, I am curious to learn if you actually do and which ones.
The red husk tropical walnuts are endangered and its nice if you grow them .
There are otther tropical walnuts you can grow ( for botanical reasons) like Oreumunea and Alfaroa.
I grow carpathian walnuts ,almonds and i have somme gevuina seedlings ( proteaceae, related to macadamia).
I grow these rare ,giant walnut seeds.

Wow these look great!  I am also trying to grow various nuts in Belize, Zone 14.  I just recently got seeds for juglans olanchana and hoping for good germination.  Do you have any recommendations on other Juglandaceae that may do well in my climate?
