Lemon drop mangosteen seedlings free
« on: April 07, 2021, 05:08:03 PM »
I have a bunch of 3"-5" Lemon drop mangosteen seedling / volunteers which I am going to  pull from beneath the parent tree soon. If anyone wants some or all bring a shovel, pots and soil and take all you want. Local North Broward Florida only, no shipping, sorry.
Regards,

For those who have never tried the LD mangosteen.

The small stature (mine is in ground 10 years and is ~7' tall and has never been pruned) disease free slow growing tree produces 1" to 1 1/2" fruit that has a deep yellow to light orange rind that is thin and easily peeled like some citrus. It tolerates full sun as well as semi shade but fruits best when it gets more light.

The white sweet/tart juicy (though sparse) pulp clings to a large seed and must be sucked off. You definitely will not "pig out" on the fruit. Aside from a yard treat, instead of drinking lemon water, they can be washed, skinned and dropped into a pitcher of water for a GR8 drink
