History/background:

Since finding a person who has a large Seedless Cocktail Finger avocado this month, I got interested again to see if there many people who has such a tree that has seedless cocktail fruits on it.

Well, so far, the most impressive tree I found was the Seedless Krueger cocktail avocado tree. I have spoken with the person who owns the tree and now helping him promote the variety he has. I have not really found any other seedless cocktail tree/plants growing or on sale that actually gave me similar fruits, so I wanted to share the Krueger with all our TFF avocado collectors.

In this post, I wanted to list some of the other claimed seedless cocktail avocado fruits that I found on my search for it recently again. I have been looking for this type of tree for over 5 years when I saw some of those photos people show on YouTube videos and purchase multiple varieties from online nurseries such as the Wilson Seedless, Tyson Seedless, unnamed Seedless plants that were still small, grafted on a 1-2yr old avocado seedling. If the tree has only a small amount of random cuke fruits on the tree hanging with other normal size fruits, then I don't consider it a significant tree that can produce consistently these cukes fruits repeatedly and will not mention it here on the list.

I will now list what I have found so far of these types below and as I get some photos of the actual fruits or photos of the fruits hanging from the tree, I will add to this post. Also, if anyone else has them growing, it would be nice to see your fruit photo showing it hanging from your tree, so we know it is a real fruit tree, not some photos taken from the internet (not verified as real).

I will not disclose the location of these trees, so the tree owners don't get hassled about selling cuttings or fruits from random people who heard about it.

Later tonight, I will show the photos of each cocktail fruits I found so far, then try to do a side-by-side comparison where possible so we can see how they compare. Here's the list so far.

1. Seedless Krueger cocktail avocado
2. My unknown Seedless (will name it later) cocktail avocado
3. Fuerte#1 Seedless cocktail avocado branch
4. Fuerte#2 Seedless cocktail avocado tree
5. Fuerte#3 seedless cocktail avocado tree - still not able to contact the person who claims it has all seedless fruits on the tree.

There are many more, but I will only show the ones that I have personally got fruits from that tree and have photo evidence of its existence. So I will not show the other named varieties sold from online nurseries where we (forum members) don't have anyone that has a fruiting tree. I will show some trees I have purchased from some nurseries to show the size and cost of it in case anyone is looking to buy one. This will give you an idea of the cost for a grafted tree.

=============================================================================
Once we get this list updated with trees our TFF members are growing and fruiting, we can discuss how productive and true each variety is, and the taste review to allow others to decide if they like it and want to get some scions to graft onto their trees.
=============================================================================

I have the first three on my list above, and will be checking out the tree#4 today and hope it has more than just a few cukes growing on the tree.

Sorry, but what's the definition of cocktail avocado tree that you're referring to? I have grafted 3 varieties on one avocado tree, so that would make it a cocktail, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Sorry, no what people mean by Cocktail/finger avocado fruit (not tree) is that these fruits are the small, skinny fruits which have no seeds.

Like the Seedless Krueger cocktail avocado. It is not because the avocado tree has many different varieties grafted on it.

My multi-grafted avocado tree has about 14 varieties grafted on it, but only one seedless cocktail fruit (Krueger). It will also have the other variety of seedless cocktail/finger avocado that I mentioned above Fuerete #1 seedless finger avocado.

dorian, check out this video, she explains the difference between a normal avocado fruit and a cocktail avocado fruit on the tree.

https://www.facebook.com/reel/919640682715715

But the real challenge for me is to find a avocado tree which only grows the small finger seedless avocado fruits. I think I did find a tree which only fruits the cocktail/finger size seedless avocado, and that tree is what I called the Seedless Krueger avocado (named for the owner's grand parents). So far it seems like the Krueger avocado is the first and only tree that I can find that fruits all seedless finger size avocado.

Hope this explains what I'm trying to find here.

Here's my update on the search as of 2-10-25:

1. Seedless Krueger cocktail avocado => YES, it's real, 100% seedless finger size fruits only on the entire tree.
2. My unknown Seedless (will name it later) cocktail avocado => YES, it's real, but very small fruits. If it grows more then I will share.
3. Fuerte#1 Seedless cocktail avocado branch => Maybe, only one large branch seems to fruit the seedless finger shaped fruits.
4. Fuerte#2 Seedless cocktail avocado tree => NO, this large tree gives fruits that are seedless cuke/finger size and normal size.

The first 3 above have potential to be a good one to graft.

No1 and No2 seems to be real.

No3 has one branch with seedless finger fruits so it will take a few years to see if a grafted tree will give 100% seedless fruits or not. I have already grafted some scions. Also making a small, grafted tree for the owner of the tree.

No4 has random cuke fruits hanging on the tree branches along with normal fruits on it. So this one is not worth grafting to get a true 100% seedless variety. I'm grafting a seedling tree with a branch from this tree for the tree owner, but will not share any scions, not worth growing.

I plan to go back to the tree No3 and take more photos to document the one large branch with the cuke, or seedless fruits. If it looks good, then I might share some scions (sell for owner) with our TFF members very soon this week since the owner is moving.

Summary: I have not found anyone else who sells seedless cocktail fruits or scions of their tree locally so that ends my search for now.

If anyone else has a seedless finger fruiting avocado tree, please post below any info on your tree. If you have found a tree (someone else's), also post info below and maybe I or someone may be able to get more details/fruits/scions from your find.

I wonder if the krueger avocado sets fruit without pollination? it seems to do its thing on its own :D (parthenocarpic fruit set)

The tree is growing in ground, and I did not see any other avocado tree nearby, but someone could have a small tree in a pot that I didn't see. The house has many other fruit trees, so bees do visit the tree when flowers bloom.

Yes, thanks. That is one of our forum member (username Rain) who purchased the fruits and scions from me.

There are other reviews from members who tried the fruit on my other post.

I will be posting my photos of the new Fuerte cuke avocado fruits today.

No.3 above, one branch on Fuerte tree with seedless fruits.

Thanks for the detailed explanation @sc4001992 ! I didn't know this about avocadoes. Now I'll be keeping an even closer eye when I pass by old avocado trees.

Yup, especially on the Fuerte trees, they say it seems to have more of these cukes/small seedless fruits than other varieties.

Here's some photo of the No.3 tree mentioned above. It is a very large Fuerte tree which has normal fruits on some of the branches, but there is one branch on this tree which seems to only have the seedless cocktail finger size fruits.

I did check out the other avocado tree No.4, Fuerte tree with cuke fruits. I bought some fruits which were seedless cocktail finger fruits, but when I checked the tree it was just random fruits along with the normal size fruits. So this one will not be shared with the forum. I did say I will graft one tree for them of the branch which had the cuke fruit, but otherwise, this one is not one to keep.
