Fruit hunting in Vancouver, Canada
« on: March 25, 2025, 03:24:51 AM »
Does anybody know of any good shops to look for exotic fruit in Vancouver? I know that they don’t grow there, but I feel like whenever I go somewhere in Canada, I end up finding a lot of weird fruit in the markets. I think their import restrictions must be less strict. I will be going to Vancouver soon and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The Granville Island public market had a bunch of different tropical fruits when I was there about a year ago

Granville Island had Erdon Lee lychee last I was there in June, but you'll  be at the mercy of what's in season internationally and being imported. Granville Island is a tourist trap and really expensive.

Try hitting up T and T market which is a large Asian supermarket with lots of locations all around Vancouver.

I grew up in Vancouver, many fond memories.
