I had cold damage on several of my jabos from that recent cold snap, which was a surprise since the low temp here was 34 but mid-20's with the wind chill.
Looks to me like the branch may have been broken at the base. That happens to me sometimes when I am reaching into the tree for pruning or harvesting. Jabos are very cold hardy overall, no damage even down to 28f for me. 26f, yes, you'll see some die back.
Most likely. I'm guessing some cold wind was blowing around on it. Same thing happened to my Achacha's new growth
